The Music Hall is an historic, 900-seat theater, that prides itself on bringing film, theatre, dance, and music of the highest caliber to the Portsmouth community. It is located north of the downtown area, near Prescott Park. Built in 1878, The Music Hall is the oldest theater in the state, as well as the second oldest in New England, and the fourteenth oldest in the United States.
