The Albacore Park is home to a visitor's center, Memorial Garden, and the USS Albacore, a submarine built in 1952 and serving as he standard for military submarines ever since. The visitor's center is located near North Mill Pond, in the Christian Shore area of the city. Exhibits at the center showcase the 20 years in which the submarine was used to test new submarine technology.
