The award-winning Seacoast Repertory Theatre strives to bring world-class theatre to the Portsmouth community, as well as offer a place for students to nuture and expand their knowledge and love of the theater. The repertory is located on the waterfront, north of downtown, near Prescott Park and South Mill Pond. The Bow Street Theatre, where Seacoast is located, was originally built as a storage warehouse for grain and beer, and to this day still features two-foot-thick, insulated walls first constructed to protect the wares from the harsh weather of the region.
