Description:

Prescott Park was originally the final wish of lifelong Portsmouth resident, Josie F. Prescott, as she wanted to gift the city a public place where the beauty of the waterfront could be enjoyed. Today, the ten-acre park features a formal garden, as well as a "trial" garden boasting more than 500 varieties of stunning flowers. The park extends along the Piscataqua River, from Iowa State Street to Mechanic Street.
